Meghan Markle is not looking to follow in her close friend Ellen DeGeneres’ footsteps after the comedian and her wife, Portia de Rossi, reportedly hightailed it across the pond to the UK.

Last week, it emerged that the comedian, 66, and the “Arrested Development” alum, 51, packed up and moved to England following Donald Trump’s election win earlier this month.

Sources close to the couple, who wed in 2008, said they will likely “never” return to the US on a permanent basis.

However, despite boasting a very close friendship with the former “Ellen Show” host, the “Suits” alum, 43, will not be looking to make a similar move herself for the second time, according to a former palace staffer.

Grant Harrold, who had previously worked as King Charles’ personal butler for seven years, exclusively told The Post that Markle will not be “following suit.”

“Meghan’s too much of an American girl, she doesn’t want to be in the UK permanently,” Harrold said of the former actress. “I can see her coming over for the holidays and having time over here, but living here permanently? I just don’t see it.”

However, Harrold noted that the same theory doesn’t apply to Markle’s husband, Prince Harry.

In fact, the former palace staffer believes the Duke of Sussex, 40, will be making that move eventually.

“I do see it,” he said of the exiled prince. “I think he could be open to returning. As I always keep saying, never say never.”

The Post has reached out to Markle’s reps for comment.

Still, after being stripped of tax-funded private security following their royal exit in 2020, the Sussexes — and Markle in particular — have made a conscious effort to stay out of the UK.

Despite Harry making it his mission to win back security protection for his family since, the duo have not been seen together on Harry’s home soil since 2022.

In a further blow, the duo were reportedly snubbed from the invite list to celebrate Christmas with the royals at Sandringham.

After making the trans-Atlantic move, DeGeneres and de Rossi are now gearing up to put their sprawling Montecito, Calif., mansion on the market, sources told The Wrap.

Separate sources told TMZ that the duo decided to “get the hell out” of the country immediately following the President-elect’s victory over Kamala Harris, which left them feeling “very disillusioned.”

The former talk show host was vocal about her support of Harris — and even reportedly donated $3,300 to the vice president’s campaign.

As for her extensive property portfolio, DeGeneres’ eye-popping $370 million net worth has allowed her to own some incredible digs over the years.

Her most recent home purchase was in Montecito, which she and de Rossi snapped up in 2019 for $27 million. The duo lived next door to the Sussexes and their two children, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet.

The couple are now reportedly living in the Cotswolds in South West England — nearly two hours from London.

Unsurprisingly, the area not only boasts some famous names as residents, but is also home to royalty as King Charles and Queen Camilla own Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.

And it seems that the “Finding Nemo” star and her wife have already settled into their new life in the UK.

Earlier this month, the duo were seen enjoying a boozy visit Jeremy Clarkson’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog, located in the area, in a clip shared on Instagram.

In a clip shared by the former “Top Gear” host’s girlfriend Lisa Hogan, the couple were seen sipping on drinks as they enjoyed some live music at the rustic pub.
