Jay-Z refuses to go into hiding despite the shocking allegations against him.
The “Empire State Of Mind” rapper, 55, held his head high while appearing at the premiere of Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King” on Monday at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Jay-Z — whose real name is Shawn Carter — seemed unfazed by the recently amended civil lawsuit accusing him and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping a “Jane Doe” in 2000 when she was just 13 years old. The Roc Nation founder denied the “heinous” allegations, calling the lawsuit a “blackmail attempt.”
Jay-Z smiled alongside Beyoncé and their 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy on the red carpet for the movie, which features his wife as the voice of Nala. Even his mother-in-law, Tina Knowles, posed with the embattled star.
The family put on a united front, showing they are standing behind the Carter patriarch.
Sources with knowledge tell The Post that before the allegations, it was rumored that Jay-Z and Beyoncé were not planning to attend the premiere; however, they appeared to have a change of heart after the lawsuit.
The Post reached out to Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s team for comment.
Jay-Z dressed to the nines in a black suit and tie with a white collared shirt. Beyoncé and Blue matched in gorgeous gold gowns, while Tina also stayed true to the color trend in an all-black ensemble with a gold-metal belt.
Tina flashed a smile alongside her son-in-law, just hours after she “liked” a post about the allegations against him. She later claimed that she was hacked.
Taking to social media, Beyoncé mom shared a screenshot of her notes reading, “I was hacked! As you all know I don’t play with my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me . Just know that it is not me !”
She captioned the post, “Please stop playing with me !!!! ‘No weapon formed against my family shall prosper.’”
On Sunday, Jay-Z was named as a defendant in a lawsuit originally filed against Diddy in October.
In the amended complaint filed in New York on Dec. 8, the woman — identified only as Jane Doe — claimed the music moguls raped her at an afterparty following the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000 while an unnamed female celebrity watched.
Jay-Z quickly put out a statement, denying the accusations and saying his “only heartbreak is for my family.”
“My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of young people,” his statement, posted on Roc Nation’s X account (formerly Twitter), read in part.
“I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit,” he continued.
Jane Doe claimed in the lawsuit that she was approached by Combs’ alleged limo driver, who invited her to an afterparty while she tried to get into the 2000 VMAs in New York City when she was 13. At the afterparty residence, she alleged she was asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
At some point during the party, Jane Doe said she was allegedly drugged after being served a drink and “held down by Carter as he vaginally raped her, while Combs and Celebrity B watched. After Carter finished, he stepped back toward the wall. Combs then stepped forward and vaginally raped Plaintiff while Carter and Celebrity B watched.”
Diddy has been behind bars since September after being arrested on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. His trial is scheduled for May 2025.
