‘Joker’ director Todd Phillips reveals first look at Joaquin Phoenix in film sequel

This is no laughing matter.

The director of the upcoming film “Joker: Folie à Deux” revealed a first look at Joaquin Phoenix’s return as Arthur Fleck Saturday through an Instagram post.

“Day 1. Our boy. #joker,” wrote Phillips in a simple caption of Phoenix having a shave.

Not much is known about the upcoming film since the plot has been kept closely under wraps. It is known, however, that Phoenix will reprise his role as disturbed villain Arthur Fleck.

The 48-year-old actor will also be joined by Lady Gaga who allegedly plays the villain Harley Quinn and it is reported that Brendan Gleeson has been cast but in an unknown role.
