Kate Middleton is “saddened” that her name has been thrust into the spotlight following the release of Omid Scobie’s latest tell-all book, according to a report.
In the Dutch translation of Scobie’s biography, “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival,” the names of two senior royals who allegedly made a “racist” comment about the skin color of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son were revealed.
The royals who allegedly made the remarks were unmasked this week as King Charles and the Princess of Wales — a claim that has not been confirmed by Scobie nor the royal family.
Still, Princess Kate has reportedly been left upset that her name is being mentioned in the conversation about racism.
“Kate was 100 percent not one of the people who discussed it,” a source told Us Weekly. “She is saddened that her name got pulled into this because she had nothing to do with it.”
“This has closed the door on any reconciliation with Meghan as far as Kate is concerned,” the insider went on.
“She has had enough of Meghan’s antics and wants absolutely nothing to do with her. She will never make up with her.”
The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.
Kate and her husband, Prince William, have put on a united front since the book hit the shelves this week.
At the Royal Variety Performance in London Thursday, the Waleses held hands as they promptly ignored all questions about “Endgame” at the event.
In March 2021, William — the heir to the throne — spoke up about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s claims of racism within the royal family, telling reporters, “We’re very much not a racist family.”
Scobie blamed the ordeal on a “translation error,” however the translator responsible for the book’s Dutch version has since disputed his claim.
In an interview on BBC Newsnight Thursday, Scobie was given the chance to express his regret over the error, but instead said it’s “not fair” for people to expect an apology from him.
“It’s not for me to apologize because I still want to know what’s happened,” he told host Victoria Derbyshire.
The author, 42, said that the book he “was extremely proud of” has been “completely overshadowed by an event that’s caused me a lot of frustration.”
He insists that the naming and shaming fiasco is not a publicity stunt.
Elsewhere in his book, Scobie branded the Princess of Wales “cold” and slammed her for “advocating for mental health causes while ignoring Meghan’s cries for help.”
He even said that the mother of three “shivers” whenever Meghan Markle’s name is brought up in conversation and claims the pair have not spoken to each other since 2019.
In 2021, Harry and Markle initially divulged to Oprah Winfrey that the Windsor clan commented on how dark their son Archie’s skin would be before he was born.
“That conversation I’m never going to share. But at the time, it was awkward. I was a bit shocked. I’m not comfortable sharing it,” Harry told Winfrey.
