Kirk Cousins’ wife said everyone in their family is thrilled to move to Atlanta — except for a certain someone.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Julie Cousins explained that she and the couple’s young sons, Cooper and Turner, were ready to move down south after the quarterback agreed to a four-year, $180 million contract with the Falcons.
However, their beloved Australian Labradoodle, Abe, isn’t too happy about it.
“Packing up to head south… great time to play some instruments,” Julie wrote over a video of their sons playing toy instruments as they packed their car. “Atlanta here we come!”
In a separate clip, Julie showed Abe standing in their kitchen and wrote: “This guy is the only one not excited about moving down south!”
Cousins and his wife adopted Abe during his tenure with the Minnesota Vikings.
Julie is a Georgia native and the couple also has a home there.
Julie later shared a sweet farewell tribute to the Vikings on Instagram, which featured photos of their family during their time in Minnesota since 2018.
“We came to Minnesota 6 years ago when Cooper was just 6 month [sic] old and Turner came shortly after!!” Julie wrote. “Time flies when you’re having fun!
The NFL legal tampering period is here. Saquon Barkley and Kirk Cousins are on the move. Follow along with The Post’s live updates as 2024 NFL free agency kicks off.
“I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped us build our life in Minnesota over the past 6 years. We have the most beautiful memories we will cherish forever!”
Cousins’ move to Atlanta was one of the biggest splashes of NFL free agency.
His four-year deal includes $100 million guaranteed.
The four-time Pro Bowler is entering his 13th season fresh off a torn right Achilles suffered in Week 8 of the 2023-24 season at Lambeau Field.
Prior to that, Cousins had never missed an NFL game due to injury.
The only contest he missed was due to COVID.
Before the injury, Cousins was having one of his best seasons — and was tied for the NFL lead with 18 touchdown passes
With the addition of Cousins, the Falcons have a legitimate chance to make a playoff run for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
Atlanta solved their quarterback problem and have solid playmakers around Cousins in Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts and Drake London.
Cousins will work with new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson, who joined head coach Raheem Morris’ staff in January.
The Vikings moved on with Sam Darnold, agreeing to a one-year deal with the former first-round pick.
