Luka Doncic’s fiancée shared a sweet message after the Mavericks star was named the Western Conference Finals MVP following a dominant 124-103 win against the Timberwolves in Game 5 on Thursday night.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Anamaria Goltes posted a photo of Doncic on her television screen holding his trophy and wrote, “Well done love, your boys are proud of you to heaven,” via Google Translator, with a bunch of red heart emojis.
The model, who appeared to be watching the game from home, reposted another snap of a smiling Doncic in the locker room.
Doncic proposed to Goltes last July in a stunning scene featuring an array of flowers at Bled Castle in Slovenia.
The couple announced their engagement on Instagram with the caption, “7.7,” a reference to the date and Doncic’s jersey number.
It came five months after Doncic and Goltes announced the birth of their daughter, Gabriela, in a post on Instagram on Dec. 1, 2022.
Goltes — who was on the cover of Cosmopolitan Slovenija in October 2019 — previously shared in an Instagram Q&A that she met Doncic “when we were 12 years old at the seaside in Croatia.”
Doncic previously explained that Goltes “doesn’t like basketball, but she goes to every game” to support him.
“I met her in Croatia in the same camp I go to now. I met her when we were 11 — I don’t know, something like that,” Doncic said during an appearance on “Headliners with Rachel Nichols” on Showtime in December. “So, I’m really happy to have her. It’s been great and she helps me a lot.
“It’s a lot of pressure outside. When I get home, it’s no basketball talk. She don’t like basketball, but she goes to every game. I mean, she likes it now, but she didn’t like it, which is good for me. I really like that.”
Doncic played lights out in the Mavericks’ series-clinching win Thursday night en route to his first NBA Finals.
The Slovenian star finished with 36 points — he shot 9-of-14, including 3 three-pointers — 10 rebounds and five assists. He had 20 points in the first quarter.
Doncic and Dallas guard Kyrie Irving scored or assisted on 223 of the team’s 557 points (76 percent) in the Western Conference Finals, per ESPN stats.
Irving, vying for his second NBA championship, finished with 36 points, four rebounds and five assists.
Doncic dedicated his series MVP trophy to the team.
Dallas will face the Celtics in the NBA Finals, with Game 1 tipping off in Boston on June 6.
