It’s still in the works.
That’s what Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan are saying following the engagement buzz they ignited last week.
During Tuesday’s installment of their “Separation Anxiety” podcast, the couple confirmed that while they aren’t engaged yet, Marcus — who is the 32-year-old son of NBA legend Michael Jordan — is doing research for a “massive” diamond ring for Larsa, 49.
“I think I responded in a cheeky way… I told them we’re looking for a location and that it’s in the works,” Marcus said on the podcast episode.
The “them” Marcus is referring to is TMZ, as he told the outlet last week that he and Larsa have a wedding date “in the works.”
“I had a 100 calls and text messages of people congratulating us and I was like, ‘I’m so excited’ — but no, we’re not engaged,” Larsa said.
The “Real Housewives of Miami” star, who was first linked to Marcus in September, added that her beau did give her a special gift.
“I think it’s cute. But you did give me a promise ring,” Larsa said.
Marcus, who teased the promise ring “might end up” on Larsa’s reality TV series, explained that the couple has been discussing their future nuptials “a lot lately.”
“Not necessarily putting lot of emphasis or priority on where or when, but we’ve definitely been discussing locations and time of year, and so I felt like that was a good response,” he said.
“The only thing we’ve really come up with is we want a destination wedding,” Larsa added. “That’s the only thing we talk about.”
Much like Larsa, Marcus was getting calls and texts after his “it’s in the works” comment made headlines.
“It’s funny, because when the news started circulating obviously my parents reached out,” he said of his famous father and his mother, Jordan’s ex-wife Juanita Vanoy.
“My mom sent a bunch of eye emojis. My dad sent a couple text messages and had a conversation with my sister just wondering if it’s legit or not — obviously with the pictures of the ring going around there was a little extra fuel on the fire.”
The Bulls legend has been married to wife Yvette Prieto for 10 years.
The recent wedding buzz also had the couple’s phones ringing with potential opportunities.
Marcus said he had so many jewelers reach out to help him find the perfect ring for Larsa, while she said Bravo producers were calling to ask if they could televise the wedding.
“I think that’s the tagline of our wedding, ‘In the works.’ There is definitely some researching some stones that’s happening right now for sure,” Marcus said.
When Larsa asked if he knows the type of ring she wants, he said he has “a good grasp” on it.
“I don’t feel like I really need a huge ring though,” Larsa said, to which Marcus disagreed.
“I feel like it’s going to be massive for sure,” he said. “I feel like I’ve got good taste, so let Marcus James drive this train, OK.”
Larsa added she doesn’t think Marcus’ parents — who are fairly private about their personal lives — would attend their wedding if it were to be televised.
“I think as we get close we’ll start narrowing down on all of the options, but I think anything is on the table,” Marcus said. “It’s all in the works.”
Larsa and Marcus went public with their relationship in January.
It came two years after she finalized her divorce from Jordan’s former Bulls teammate, Scottie Pippen, in December 2021.
The exes married in 1997 and share four children: sons Scotty Jr., 22, Preston, 21, and Justin, 18, and 14-year-old daughter Sophia.
