Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have become quite close with many celebs in recent years — including Christmas caroler Michael Bublé.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently hit the slopes with the 48-year-old crooner and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, in Vancouver, Canada, this month to celebrate the 2025 Invictus Games.
But how did this friendship come to be?
Just ask Markle’s ex-bestie Jessica Mulroney.
The “Suits” star, 42, and Bublé, 48, first met in November 2015 at a dinner event, with the royal writing about their fun connection in her long-lost blog, The Tig.
Markle wrote that the “Sway” singer was a “delightful guy” on her lifestyle website, which she shut down once she married Harry, 39.
“This proud papa, husband to the lovely Luisana Lopilato, and certifiably delightful guy, makes for one hell of a dinner companion. But there’s this other thing about him that is perhaps worth mentioning. Oh right. He sings,” Markle penned.
Mulroney, 43, was also present that evening, alongside her husband, Ben.
The stylist seemingly witnessed Markle and Bublé’s friendship blossom.
Mulroney posted a photo of the group of friends having a meal in 2015 on Instagram.
“Solid dinner crew! Congratulations @michaelbuble on your induction onto @cwofame. We ❤️ u.,” Mulroney wrote.
Could the marketing consultant have been the one to introduce Markle and Bublé back in 2015?
As for Mulroney and the former actress, they became best friends in 2011 while the two were working in Toronto.
The fashionista also made an appearance at Markle’s wedding, where her three children, Ivy, John and Brian, were in the wedding party.
Her relationship with Markle, however, has diminished in the last few years.
In 2020, Mulroney was accused of showing “white privilege” amid the Black Lives Matter movement, which allegedly cause a rift between the two women.
An insider claimed at the time to the Sun: “Meghan has forsaken her most loyal friend just to look woke.”
“Jessica’s team have made it clear that she feels completely ditched by Meghan and fears she is going to cut her out of her life for good,” the source said.
“She’s completely distraught and devastated because Meghan has done nothing to stand up for her publicly,” they continued. “It’s a brutal blow after a 10-year friendship. Jessica has been there for Meghan through thick and thin.”
