Nate Burleson confirms Rihanna pregnancy hint everyone missed before Super Bowl

Nate Burleson knew Rihanna’s secret.

Prior to her Super Bowl 2023 halftime performance, Rihanna teased that she was bringing a “surprise guest” on stage during an interview with Burleson, a co-host of “CBS Mornings.”

After the singer stirred pregnancy news, debuting her baby bump in a red leather outfit at State Farm Stadium, Burleson confirmed that he knew she was expecting her second child.

“So when #rihanna told @nateburleson there was gonna be a surprise guest at the halftime show, I’m betting that the BABY is the surprise guest,” someone tweeted — to which Burleson replied: “Bingo!”

“People want to know, are there any surprises? … Will there be a surprise?” Burleson asked during his interview with Rihanna, which aired days before her Super Bowl 57 halftime show.

“I’m thinking about bringing someone,” she said with a smile. “I’m not sure.”
