Tim Duncan wakeboarding is just what the internet needs.
The Basketball Hall of Famer is making waves on social media after shredding on the water in a video posted by Patrick Ngongba II — the four-star center in the 2024 class out of Paul VI High School in Fairfax, Virginia.
Duncan let his dreadlocks down and wore red swim shorts in the clip, which showed him riding the waves while listening to Nelly’s 2000 song, “Country Grammar.”
Ngongba flashed his face before he turned the camera on Duncan, who appeared focused on the wakeboard.
It’s unclear where the video was taken.
The 15-time All-Star has loved the water since his days growing up in his hometown of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, according to NBA.com.
Duncan — a five-time NBA champion, three-time Finals MVP, and two-time NBA MVP — was an aspiring Olympics swimmer before he picked up a basketball at age 14.
He pivoted to basketball when Hurricane Hugo swept through his hometown in 1989 and destroyed all the local pools.
Duncan, who the Spurs selected with the No. 1 pick overall in the 1997 NBA Draft, is said to have enjoyed a “great week of workouts” with Ngongba, according to USA Today.
The basketball prospect also competes at the AAU level for Team Takeover on the Nike EYBL circuit.
Ngongba shared on Twitter last month that he received an offer from the University of Kansas.
The big man also has visited the campus at Kansas State and is one of the Wildcats’ top recruits, according to the Kansas City Star.
Last month, Ngongba told On3 that he will consider Duke, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Michigan, Providence, and UConn — all of which made offers.
He also received offers from Texas, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Virginia, Pitt, Butler and Iowa.
Ngongba, listed at 6-11, comes from a family of basketball players.
His mother, Tajama Ngongba, scored a school-record 2,134 points in four seasons (1993-97) at George Washington University, where she is the school’s all-time leader in blocked shots (326) and games played (130).
She took her talents to the WNBA in 1997, playing for the Sacramento Monarchs and Detroit Shock before moving into coaching at the collegiate level.
Ngongba has been an assistant coach at George Mason since 2013.
Ngongba’s dad, Patrick Ngongba, was a starter for the George Washington men’s basketball team from 1997 to 2001.
