Olivia Dunne had a front-row seat Thursday to LSU’s thrilling win over Wake Forest to advance to the College World Series final.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, the famed LSU gymnast filmed the moment the Tigers’ men’s baseball team stormed Charles Schwab Field in Omaha after Tommy White hit a walk-off homer in the 11th inning to seal the 2-0 victory.
“Oh my goooodness geaux tigahs!!!!” Dunne captioned the video.
LSU will next face SEC rival Florida in the best-of-three national championship series.
Dunne, 20, has been supporting her beloved Tigers throughout the week and posted an LSU-centric selfie ahead of Thursday’s win.
In the snap, which was shared on her Instagram Stories, Dunne can be seen modeling a Tigers T-shirt with a pair of denim cutoffs.
It’s been a summer of fun for Dunne so far, as she recently traveled to Italy following her junior year at LSU.
Prior to that, she jetted to Florida to celebrate the launch of the 2023 edition of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, her debut issue.
Earlier this week, Dunne recalled her initial reaction upon learning she would be featured in the pages of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
“It was surreal,” Dunne told Hurrdat Sports. “I got off the phone and I screamed immediately, and I called my mom and I was in disbelief.”
Dunne ventured to Puerto Rico in January for the scenic shoot, only getting one day off as production was scheduled around the time she was starting her gymnastics season.
Although the shoot was swift, Dunne is still in awe that her Sports Illustrated dream came true.
“The way that the [SI Swimsuit] brand has evolved and has become such a positive spotlight for women to tell their stories and to spread awesome messages and just be strong, sexy and beautiful, I knew that was something I wanted to be part of,” Dunne told the outlet.
The NCAA’s highest-earning female athlete with a NIL valuation of $3.4 million, Dunne hopes to inspire others to pursue their passions.
“I want to show young girls that you can have it all, and you don’t need to choose between whatever it is you’re passionate about,” she said. “You can be passionate about music, art. You don’t need to pick and choose. You can do it all and be successful. I think you need to set your own expectations for success and dream big.”
