New year, new friendships for Paige Spiranac.
On Friday, the longtime golf influencer teased an upcoming collaboration with LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau, whom Spiranac “publicly trolled” in the past.
“Have to give credit where credit is due to @b_dechambeau! I’ve publicly trolled him in the past but in person he was nothing but kind, funny, and self deprecating. Total opposite from how I perceived him over the years. And you would think I should know better because it happens to me everyday,” the 30-year-old Spiranac posted on X.
“I’m excited for you to see the content we’ve been shooting and an opportunity for you to get to know us both better! Coming soon.”
Spiranac, who has been critical of DeChambeau and his behavior in the sport over the years, even took part in a cheeky Instagram Q&A with her new pal as they enjoyed a day out on the course.
When a fan inquired, “Ask Bryson if he would smash,” the 30-year-old DeChambeau poked fun at a separate golf beef.
“What, smash? No, Brooks and I are friends now,” the 2020 U.S. Open champion said as Spiranac chuckled from the golf cart.
DeChambeau, who lept to the Saudi-backed LIV Golf in 2022, was previously embroiled in a feud with Brooks Koepka, a fellow LIV Golf defector.
The pair sent social media into a tailspin last summer when they were pictured smiling together in a photo on Koepka’s Instagram page.
“This league,” Koepka, 33, captioned the snap from the green.
Koepka currently serves as the captain of LIV’s Smash GC team, which is comprised of Talor Gooch, Jason Kokrak and Graeme McDowell.
As for DeChambeau, he’s at the helm for Crushers GC, playing alongside Paul Casey, Charles Howell III and Anirban Lahiri.
The 2024 LIV Golf season opens on Feb. 2 in Mexico.
