Things got heated between Skip Bayless and Richard Sherman on the “Undisputed” set on Tuesday.
The FS1 host and the former All-Pro cornerback didn’t see eye-to-eye while debating the “hip-drop tackle” after Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis suffered a serious left leg injury due to the tactic in a blowout win against North Alabama on Saturday.
“Let me finish, Richard,” Bayless said when the former Super Bowl champ interrupted him. “I’m speaking. Thank you.”
Sherman took issue with Bayless talking about something he’s never had experience doing.
“I’ll let you speak, but you’re not speaking from experience, so stop raising your voice, Skip,” he said.
“Are you going to let me speak or not?” Bayless asked.
“You’re speaking on something you have no experience doing,” Sherman fired back. “So what point can you really make?
Former wideout-turned-sports analyst Keyshawn Johnson put his head down during the back-and-forth.
NFL greats Sherman, Johnson and Michael Irvin are among the rotating analysts Fox Sports hired to replace Shannon Sharpe on “Undisputed.”
The two had an infamous feud on “First Take” in 2013 when Bayless was still with ESPN and Sherman starred for the Seahawks.
It seems tensions still exist now that they are colleagues, as Tuesday’s segment only got more awkward.
“I’ve covered the game for a lot longer than you’ve been alive,” Bayless said.
“You covered the game, I’ve actually played the game longer than you’ve ever played!” Sherman argued.
“What we’re talking about is something that actually happens in the game that you can’t experience unless you play it.”
That’s when the clip cut off.
As for Travis?
The 23-year-old senior said in an Instagram statement Monday that the lower left leg injury marks the end of his playing career with the No. 5 Seminoles.
Travis also reposted photos that showed him surrounded by his teammates while hospitalized, according to his Instagram Stories.
His left leg was bandaged and elevated as he laid in a hospital bed.
Travis was injured on a tackle at the end of a run when his left leg bent underneath him.
He was carted off the field and Florida State went on to win, 58-13, on Saturday, moving to 11-0 (8-0 ACC) on the season.
