Shannon Sharpe slams Travis Kelce for going to World Series game two days before Chiefs loss: ‘Awful look’

The Chiefs surprisingly lost to the Broncos on Sunday, so Shannon Sharpe took the opportunity to pile on Travis Kelce.

The star tight end, whose girlfriend Taylor Swift was not in attendance in Denver, was in Arlington, Texas Friday night watching Game 1 of the World Series between the Rangers and Diamondbacks and was shown on the Fox broadcast sans Swift.

Kelce then caught six of nine targets for 58 yards in Kansas City’s 24-9 loss, which dropped them to 6-2.

“He didn’t have his best day, and I’m kind of disappointed because you know, Friday night he was at the Rangers game,” Sharpe said on his “Nightcap” show with Chad Johnson.

Johnson, the former Bengals receiver, replied, “What’s wrong with that?”

“It’s the middle of the season, what do you mean what’s wrong with that?” Sharpe fired back.

Johnson indicated there was no issue because it was a Friday night before Sharpe pointed out the game was in Texas and Kelce lives in Kansas City.

“Oh, s–t. OK,” Johnson said, though he asked Sharpe if he “seriously” thought it was a bad look for Kelce.

“It’s an awful look. It’s a terrible look,” Sharpe went on.

After receiving IV treatments for the flu before the game, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes went 24-for-38 with 241 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.

It was the first time Mahomes did not throw a touchdown pass since Dec. 5, 2021, a win over the Broncos.

Kelce, 34, has been under greater scrutiny since the start of his relationship with Swift, who first attended one of Kelce’s games on Sept. 24.

Since then things have been heating up with the couple, who were spotted out in public in Manhattan on multiple occasions.
