Don’t ask Shaq for the scoop on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s budding romance.
Shaquille O’Neal weighed in on the Kelce-Swift craze and sent well wishes to the rumored couple in an interview ahead of his fundraising event, The Event, in Las Vegas on Saturday.
“I see it all the time when celebrities get together,” O’Neal told The Mirror, adding he’s not surprised over the NFL and television networks clamoring for coverage of Kelce and Swift.
“Travis is a friend of mine, so he hasn’t told me that they are dating. But we all see what seems to be like they are dating, if they are dating.
“I wish them well. And they’re both great people and I’m happy for [them].”
The Basketball Hall of Famer laughed over the excessive coverage of Swift and her star-studded entourage with Kelce’s mom Donna Kelce at the Chiefs-Jets game at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 1.
The “Lavender Haze” singer was featured on the NBC broadcast 17 times during Kansas City’s 23-20 victory over the Jets, according to Front Office Sports.
Swift attended the Week 4 matchup with celeb pals Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Sophie Turner, as well as Brittany Matthews, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
It marked the second consecutive week that Swift showed up to support Kelce and the Chiefs.
The pop megastar nearly broke the internet the week prior when she was seen cheering with Donna in Kelce’s private suite at Arrowhead Stadium at the Chiefs-Bears game.
Swift was not in attendance at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota for Kansas City’s 27-20 win over the Vikings on Sunday, however.
Although Swift has yet to address her relationship with Kelce, the tight end has gushed over the singer on a number of occasions.
“I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl [when the Chiefs beat the Eagles in February], and right now even more on top of the world, so it’s fun man,” Kelce told reporters on Friday.
The All-Pro tight end, who turned 34 this month, explained he’s still learning how to deal with paparazzi.
“At the same time, [the attention] comes with it,” he said. “You’ve got a lot of people that care about Taylor, for good reason. So… just gotta keep living and earning and enjoying the moments.
“At the end of the day I’ve always been pretty good about compartmentalizing and being able to stay focused in this building and I’ll just keep rolling with that.”
Kelce previously said on his “New Heights” podcast that he will refrain from discussing his relationship with Swift in order to protect their privacy.
Donna seemed to follow suit when she was asked about her son’s high-profile relationship during last Friday’s installment of the “Today” show.
“Yeah, it’s fairly new, so I don’t like to talk about it,” Donna said before she recalled her time hanging out with Swift at two Chiefs games.
“But it’s just one of this things where everybody saw me. I was in the box with her, and it’s just another thing that’s amped up my life. It was OK.”
Donna added that although her son didn’t warn her about “spilling the beans” during her television interview, she wanted to respect his personal life.
Kelce first expressed interest in Swift over the summer, when he said on his podcast that he attempted to shoot his shot with the singer while attending her “Eras Tour” in Kansas City in July.
