What a way to feel old. The actress who played the “Teletubbies” Sun Baby is pregnant.

Jessica Smith, 27, announced that she’s expecting her first baby with her partner, Ricky Latham. Their baby girl is expected to arrive in January 2024.

“When two becomes three,” she captioned an Instagram photo of her ultrasound on Tuesday.

Smith played the Sun Baby in the children’s show theme song montage.

“I am feeling overwhelmed with the amount of love I am receiving from people around the world,” the mom-to-be told Entertainment Tonight on Thursday. “I have received countless messages congratulating me and wishing us well for the future.”

She added: “I am still overwhelmed with the amount of people who have watched and are watching Teletubbies, the amount of messages I receive and hearing the stories told by people around the world.”

And, of course, Smith plans to have her little one get familiar with her TV past.

“She will be watching my version of Teletubbies,” she gushed.

In 2014, Smith came forward to reveal that she played Sun Baby on the series.

I used to hide it, but after a lot of encouragement from my friends at university I’ve gained the confidence to come out with it. I am the sun from Teletubbies,” she wrote on Facebook at the time. “… When I was about 9 months old, my mum took me for a routine checkup at the local hospital. The midwife there had been contacted by a local production company who were looking for a smiley baby, and the midwife asked if my name, along with all the baby’s [sic] that way, could be submitted. From then I had to go through auditions and short lists until they finally picked one person, ME!”

She also explained how her dad got her to smile for the camera.

“While recording my dad held a teddy bear behind the camera to get me to laugh, and rolled a toy racing car to get me to look down at the camera, it obviously worked,” she recalled.

“Teletubbies” ran for 365 episodes between 1997 and 2001.
