Trevor Lawrence’s wife, Marissa Lawrence, wasn’t happy with one social media user who posted a vulgar comment about the couple under a birthday post.
The event designer, who married the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback in 2021, asked her 328,000 Instagram followers to report the page of a user that said she’s only with the quarterback for “the money.”
The comment, which was posted by the account “yourfrienddeath” read, “@marissa_lawrence hope God takes your man. Incompetent [trash emojis].
“You’re only in it for the money anyway.”
Marissa included a screengrab of the comment — which was left under a 24th birthday tribute Lawrence posted for his wife over the weekend — on her Instagram Story.
“I don’t usually post this stuff but this is not okay…. Please report this account,” Marissa wrote over the post.
Lawrence has yet to address the situation.
His birthday tribute to Marissa included a carousel of photos of the couple.
“Happy birthday to this beauty!” Lawrence wrote. “Can’t imagine my life without you.
“The more I know you, the more I love you! You’re a gem. Thanks for all you do for myself and everyone in our life – you’re incredible. I love ya.”
“My best friend,” Marissa wrote in the comments. “I love you.”
Marissa celebrated her birthday with a backyard party in Jacksonville, Fla., according to her Instagram page, which included photos of her wearing a stunning velvet dress.
Ravens receiver Laquon Treadwell and his wife, Victoria, attended the bash, along with Bengals cornerback Sidney Jones IV and his wife Cydney.
Lawrence’s former Clemson teammate, Darien Rencher and his wife Makenzie Rencher were also in attendance.
Lawrence proposed to Marissa in July 2020 in the middle of Clemson’s home field at Memorial Stadium.
The couple, who met in the fifth grade, tied the knot in April 2021 — just days before the Jaguars selected Lawrence with the No. 1 pick in that year’s NFL Draft.
Marissa graduated from Anderson University, where she played soccer, in two and a half years.
