It didn’t take long for a certain member of Victor Wembanyama’s family to capture NBA Twitter’s heart.
Moments after the San Antonio Spurs selected the French phenom with the first overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft on Thursday, the 19-year-old Wembanyama was featured on ESPN with his family, including brother Oscar and sister Eve.
An athlete in her own right, Eve quickly caught the attention of viewers, many of whom fawned over one of Wembanyama’s biggest supporters.
“Victor Wembanyama’s sister is the true 1st round draft pick,” one Twitter user remarked.
Another asked, “Can we hear more from Victor Wembanyama’s sister, please?”
“Victor Wembanyama’s sister oh my God,” a viewer said.
In the lead-up to Thursday’s draft at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Eve — who boasts nearly 13,000 Instagram followers — had been chronicling her New York adventures on social media.
Not only did she check out Times Square, but she took in a pre-draft event with Wembanyama in Midtown.
Elsewhere on her Instagram page, Eve frequently posts photos of herself in action on the court, as well as snaps of her everyday styles.
It’s likely Eve will be sharing photos from San Antonio in the near future as her brother readies to make his NBA debut.

The 7-foot-4 center was long projected to be taken No. 1 overall, becoming the 14th international player to be selected with the top pick.
“It’s accomplishing something that I’ve been dreaming of my whole life,” Wembanyama said Thursday night. “Hearing that sentence from Adam Silver, I’ve dreamed of it so much, I gotta cry.”
