“Wheel of Fortune” lovers are hoping Maggie Sajak will take a spin at starring on the long-running game show.
In June, her father, Pat Sajak, 76, said he would be retiring from hosting “Wheel” after over 40 years.
Maggie, 28, shared a clip on Instagram where she transformed from an all-black look into a hot pink ensemble in honor of the “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” flicks.
In the comments section of the post, many people expressed a desire for Maggie to be on the show.
“They Should let You be the New Host,” one person wrote.
“You should be taking over Vanna White’s job when Vanna White is ready to retire,” another commented.
“You need to be on Wheel of Fortune,” chimed in someone else. “I was so bummed when you weren’t selected to take over for your dad. I certainly hope the shows producers are smart enough to have you take over for Vanna.”
One commenter even suggested a team effort.
“I think you should take over as letter turner for Vanna and she should take over for your dad as host!!! @maggiesajak. You guys would be an awesome team,” they wrote.
Maggie has some experience turning the white letters on the giant green screen.
She appeared on a May episode of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” where she temporarily took over White’s gig.
She also visited the game show’s set when she was a girl and often joined her dad onstage. Maggie has even been the series’ social correspondent since 2021.
Pat’s stint on “Wheel of Fortune” will conclude in 2024 and Ryan Seacrest will be the new emcee.
Many fans wanted White to become the host and follow in the footsteps of Pat.
She soon “lawyered up” and reportedly is hoping to secure a big raise should she stay on the show.
According to TMZ, White is “holding out” for at least half of what Pat was making for his paycheck.
“After 41 years as a model employee and [being] more the face of that show than [Pat], asking for 50% of what he makes seems like a no-brainer,” a source close to White told the outlet.
Insiders added that White is negotiating for the pay disparity between her and Pat to be addressed considering they are basically co-hosts of the show at this point.
TMZ confirmed that White’s salary is $3 million a year — and that she hasn’t gotten a pay increase for the last 18 years.
She has starred on “Wheel of Fortune” since 1982.
