Why Travis Kelce won’t be Taylor Swift’s date at the Grammys 2024

Taylor Swift is ready for it.

It being the 2024 Grammy Awards even though she won’t have her new beau by her side.

Unfortunately for Swifties across the globe, Travis Kelce will not be making his red carpet debut with the 12-time Grammy award-winner in Los Angeles this Sunday at the February 4 ceremony.

According to TMZ, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the rest of his team have a tight schedule to maintain and they will actually be arriving in Las Vegas the same night as the Grammys to prepare for next Sunday’s Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers. 

Multiple sources have confirmed that there is absolutely “no chance” that Kelce will travel from Las Vegas to the Crypto.com Arena in nearby Los Angeles to be with Swift at the awards show because he has to get in the zone for the biggest game of the NFL season.

While the popstar, who received six nominations this year, won’t be taking the stage to perform at the Grammys 2024, she very well may hit the podium to accept a gold-plate gramophone statuette as her album “Midnights” is nominated Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year, while her track “Anti-Hero” is nominated for Song Of The Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance.

The “Bad Blood” singer is also nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for her song “Karma.”

To date, Swift has been nominated a total of 52 times.

After the ceremony, Swift is slated to travel to Tokyo to resume her Eras Tour.

Swift, will be performing on Feb. 10, the night before the Super Bowl in Vegas, which has a 17-hour time difference from Tokyo. 

It’s a tight schedule, but if Swift wants to cheer him on in person, there is a small glimmer of hope, according to one fan who asked in a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), “Can Taylor Swift make the Super Bowl from her Tokyo concert? A West Wing episode from 2001 already answered this.”

Meanwhile, Kelce is very much focused on winning the Superbowl.

When the Chiefs won the AFC Championship last Sunday, Kelce “was feeling every single emotion,” a source told People. “Now he and the team are focusing on the Super Bowl. It’s going to be an intense couple of weeks,” as they prepare.

The insider also noted that the singer and footballer are doing well as a couple.

“It’s obvious, isn’t it? They’re genuinely happy together. She’s there to support him and cheer him on, and she’s fit in seamlessly with everyone he loves.”
