With playoff Knicks hot, MSG ‘flooded with requests from celebrities’

It’s once again the most coveted ticket in town.

Last night, Madison Square Garden’s Celebrity Row was overflowing with A-listers cheering on a hot Knicks squad, who defeated the Miami Heat in Game 2 of the Knicks second-round playoff series.

“The team has been flooded with requests from celebrities, with some saying they will fly in from out of town if they can get tickets,” a source close to MSG told The Post.

“There’s way too many asks to address.”

Among the boldfacers lucky enough to score a ticket were Jessica Alba, comedians Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan and Dave Chappelle, “Entourage” star Jerry Ferrara and his pal, “New Girl” actor Max Greenfield, and Roger Federer.

Former Knick Carmelo Anthony got a standing ovation from the enthusiastic fan base.

Also in attendance was Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is usually a courtside fixture at Milwaukee Bucks games. He sat next to his new teammate, cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner.

But that didn’t mean everyone was well acquainted. Gardner still needed a tutorial on some of his fellow well-known seatmates.

[Rodgers said] ‘We’re about to sit by Jessica Alba,’ and I’m just like ‘Oh, I don’t know who that is.’ And he just looked at me, he looked at me like I’m crazy,” Gardner, 22, told reporters on Wednesday.

The World’s Most Famous Arena has long been a magnet for the celebrity set at both Knicks and Rangers games — there’s even a special staff dedicated to cultivating and maintaining those relationships.

MSG’s VIPs who are regular fixtures at Knicks games include rapper Fat Joe, former Yankee CC Sabathia (who also attended last night’s game), Ben Stiller, Michael J. Fox and Jon Stewart. They get perks such as a separate entrance and suite.

In the sports world, such star wattage is only rivaled by the Los Angeles Lakers, who draw all the Hollywood heavyweights.

But after years of being starved in the postseason, Knicks fans are lapping up this surging team — and the rich and famous are clamoring to get in on the live action.

The series is tied up, and the Knicks will travel to Miami for Game 3 on Saturday afternoon.
