A UK woman is the star of a hilarious online clip, showing the moment she handed back a dog’s poop to its owner, as seen in her Ring doorbell camera.
Andrea Whiteside, who lives in Lancaster, Lancashire, was fed up with her neighbor, who apparently routinely left their dog’s feces in front of her home.
But they barked up the wrong tree.
“I feel as a nation of dog owners it is our responsibility to clean up after our dogs,” she told UK outlet Deadline News.
“The area where I live has had problems with dog feces for months now, and it’s due to a small percentage of dog owners who allow their pets to poo without picking up after them.”
She claimed she caught the neighbor allowing “her dog to poo directly outside my home on a number of occasions” and even had spoken about the issue with the woman, who she says was “very apologetic.”
Whiteside was “disappointed,” however, when she discovered more dung in front of her home.
“I looked back at footage on the door camera and was gobsmacked to see the same lady allow her dog to poo and walk away without picking it up again,” she recalled.
So, Whiteside, 53, patiently waited one day in her garden as the neighbor walked by with their pup, knowing the woman always passed by at “a certain time” every day.
“Here you are, love, that belongs to you. Your dog’s s–tting outside my garden, again,” Whiteside says in the clip, handing a bag full of doggy doo-doo to the pup’s owner.
In the video, which garnered 1.5 million views on TikTok, the neighbor seems to skeptically accept the pouch of poo and carry on – but not before knocking over Whiteside’s fence.
“I couldn’t hazard a guess as to how long she has allowed her dog to foul the pavement as it’s only recently that I had the camera installed,” Whiteside told Deadline News, noting that people on social media have left “positive” comments.
Whiteside added that “it’s clear to see by the thousands of likes and hundreds of comments: People are becoming increasingly fed up of picking up the mess irresponsible dog walkers leave behind.”
Underneath the clip — on which Whiteside wrote, “Only happens in the UK” — viewers applauded the woman’s response, calling her a “legend.”
“The hand on the hip, the haircut, the energy….. it’s what she’s been training for,” commented one user.
“If only everyone was like her,” championed another.
“That lady is a Legend,” someone else cheered.
“Good for you I would do the same,” one viewer wrote.
“Tell shes northern. Absolutely despises her but called her love,” someone else chimed in.
