My giant pet dog is so big people mistake him for a pony or a lion

The scary-looking pup is anything but bite-sized.

The owner of an enormous Central Asian Shepherd is speaking out about caring for his colossal canine Kenzo, saying passersby often mistake the pooch for a predator.

London-based Jamal Miah adopted the dog back in 2020 and he now weighs a whopping 187 pounds and stands at 6 feet tall when he stands on his hind legs.

“Some people are scared and cross the street when they see him, and others just want to stroke and pet him,” Miah said.

“People will question me, like, ‘What is this dog?’ They’ll say ‘What is that?’ ‘Is that a pony?’ ‘Is it a lion?’ “

Miah is a father of two young girls who were terrified of the hulking creature when he was brought into their home.

So far, Kiah has spent more than $12,000 on Kenzo, with a lot of the money going toward the animal’s enormous appetite. The owner claims the pooch eats 5 pounds of raw meat a day.

“My daughters were scared of him initially because of his size,” the dog dad dished to South West News Service. “But after a few walks they got used to him. He knows they’re my daughters, so he’s their natural protector now.”

One of Miah’s friends initially owned Kenzo, but was forced to give him away after he grew too big for them to handle.

Miah thought he was up to the task of caring for the canine — but it hasn’t been cheap.

Miah was also forced to install iron gates in his yard to keep Kenzo from escaping.

“They are naturally outdoor dogs, and they’re meant to be outside,” he stated.

While Kiah warned that a Cental Asian Shepherds are "not a dog for a beginner owner," he says the pup is the best addition his family could have asked for.

Miah has had Kenzo for a couple years now and has had to fool-proof his home to accommodate the big dog.

“I wanted him to be a friendly family dog, and to break the stigma around big dogs like him.”
