Amanda Bynes has been released from a hospital nearly three weeks after she was first admitted, according to TMZ.
A source told the outlet that the former “Amanda Show” star was discharged from a facility in Southern California on Monday and will begin outpatient treatment.
She will be working with both doctors and different specialists to make sure that she is well going forward, the outlet claimed.
The Post reached out to Bynes’ attorney, David A. Esquibias, for further comment.
The source also alleged that Bynes will be living in her own home, as she was before she was hospitalized, and will keep much of the same freedoms she enjoyed after being in conservatorship for nine years.
Bynes was initially admitted to the hospital late last month after she was allegedly found wandering naked on the streets of Los Angeles.
At the time, an eyewitness told TMZ that she flagged down a car and told the driver that she was “coming down” from having a psychotic episode.
She reportedly called 911 herself.
The “She’s the Man” actress was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, which was later extended.
Her admittance to the hospital came just a few days after she was noticeably absent from ’90s Con – a Connecticut convention featuring panels of favorite stars from that decade, including her “All That’s co-stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.
Bynes has been open about her struggles with mental health in the past.
In August 2013, she suffered a public breakdown and was placed in a conservatorship, which ended on March 22, 2022.
When she was released from the conservatorship, she said that she had been “working hard” on her health, according to a statement from attorney Esquibias.
“In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter,” she said in a statement to People.
She added that she was “excited” about her “upcoming endeavors,” which included a line of fragrances.
The child star was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2014 and has also dealt with substance issues in the past, something that she opened up about in a 2018 interview with Paper magazine.
At the time of the interview, she reportedly had been sober for four years.
Bynes graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2019.
