One man set hearts on fire at King Charles’ coronation on Saturday — and it wasn’t the new monarch.
Equerry Major Jonathan Thompson, 39, had viewers swooning during the crowning service inside Westminster Abbey.
An equerry is an officer of the British royal household who assists members of the family, with Thompson tending to Charles since the death of Queen Elizabeth last year.
The hunky assistant was by the sovereign’s side during his historic ceremony, and Twitter users were quick to drool over his presence.
“The King’s equerry. Uber hot!” one amorous fan wrote.
“Anyone else clocked the dashing chap in the kilt?” a second asked.
“That’s the dashing major Johnny. Hands off!!” a third chimed in.
“Our Major Johnny looking fiiiiinnnneeeee as always 🔥🥰,” another person penned.
“Johnnie? He’s a beauty isn’t he?” an additional admirer concurred.
Thompson previously went viral during the funeral of the Queen last year. He previously served as her equerry and was her most senior bodyguard for a period of time.
Unfortunately for aroused viewers, Thompson is off the market, and has been married to wife Caroline since 2010.
“He is happily married to a woman,” a Twitter user mournfully disclosed. “He’s still a fine hot man though.”
The attractive equerry and his wife share a young son together, as well as two dogs named Odin and Piper.
Talented Thompson is also a member of the 5th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland.
Major Thompson lives with his family in Surrey and joined the Army in 2006.
He graduated in 2004 from Aberystwyth University with a degree in Economics and politics with international studies.
