I get Botox injections from my ex-wife — it’s hard being old and single

She’s hoping to inject some love into her ex-husband’s life.

British beautician Sophie Kennedy is administering Botox injections to former spouse, Angus Kennedy, in a bid to freshen up his face and give him an edge on the dating market.

Sophie, 47, and Angus, 58, finalized their divorce in January after more than two decades together.

Sophie has already found a new man, but Angus has been nervous to jump back into the dating pool due to his older age.

“I told Sophie that it’s my last chance to find love,” Angus, who hails from Kent, England, told SWNS.

The divorcee, who shares five children with Sophie, recently revamped his look, hitting the gym, changing his diet and buying a new wardrobe — before his ex recommended going one step further.

“She suggested some Botox to get rid of my wrinkles, so I went for it — and I’m really pleased with the result,” he declared. “I’d never had any work done before, so I was nervous about the procedure, but I had a lot of trust in Sophie.”

Botox and other cosmetic procedures have been growing in popularity in recent years among nearly all demographics. Appointments for non-surgical procedures, like Botox, are up 44% according to the most recent data from The Aesthetic Society.

The Botox injections helped to smooth out wrinkles around the dad’s eyebrows and forehead giving him a “fresher face.”

“Looks are very important when finding love, even more so now with online dating,” Angus admitted. “I hope that helps when I go out dating, but only time will tell I guess,” he said.

Sophie administered the injections, which usually cost around $300, for free as she’s eager for her ex to meet a new woman.

“I feel it’s important Angus has the best chance possible at finding love, and I hope I’ve played a part in helping him do that,” she said.

In 2019, the couple, whose five children range between the ages of 11 and 23, had planned to relocate from Kent to Ecuador after Angus was offered a job running a cocoa farm.

But as he and Sophie began detailing the major life change, their conversations ended with the mutual decision to dissolve their marriage.

The pair filed for divorce in July 2021 in an amicable split.

“The fact Sophie went to these lengths to help me meet someone is a testament to our friendship,” Angus said, saying he was grateful for her kindness and cosmetic help.
