‘Deal or No Deal’ boss breaks silence on Meghan Markle’s ‘bimbo’ accusation

Meghan Markle has long stood by her claims that she was treated like a “bimbo” on the US version of “Deal or No Deal.”

Now, the UK-based production company behind the game show, Banijay, has spoken out against the accusations.

Chief content officer Lucas Green told Variety on Wednesday that he disagrees with the Duchess of Sussex’s words — because the brand is always changing itself to keep up with the times.

“We are constantly evolving the format so that it isn’t the same show it was 15 plus years ago,” he said. “A lot of work goes into modernizing our formats to ensure they represent our values as a company and wider society.”

Markle, 41, starred on the NBC reality show from 2006 to 2007 as a “briefcase model,” displaying the luggage containing various amounts of cash for which contestants were vying.

She took to her “Archetypes” podcast last October and sounded off on her unsatisfying “Deal or No Deal” experience, saying the show “objectifies” women.

While she claimed she was “grateful” for the gig, she felt “not smart” while being on the series.

“There was a very cookie-cutter idea of precisely what we should look like,” Markle said, adding that she and her fellow quiz show models would line up before tapings to put on false eyelashes, as well as getting hair extensions, spray tans and bra padding.

“It was solely about beauty, and not necessarily about brains,” the former “Suits” actress said.

“I was surrounded by smart women on that stage with me, but that wasn’t the focus of why we were there and I would end up leaving with this pit in my stomach,” Markle continued. “Like I said, I was thankful for the job but not for how it made me feel, which was not smart.”

Meanwhile, Donna Feldman, another model who appeared on “Deal or No Deal,” slammed Markle’s allegations last year.

She dished to The Post that she clashes with the former actress’ claims that any of the models were treated like hussies.

“You know what you’re signing up for when you’re hired as a ‘briefcase beauty,’” Feldman admitted.

“I have gotten opportunities in my career based off the way I look, but it’s my brains, personality, and work ethic that help seal the deal and get me the job, and get clients to continue to hire me on a regular basis.”

“It’s up to a woman to decide what experience will empower her or use it as an excuse to seek attention,” she added.

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Claudia Jordan also shut down the royal’s statements while getting candid about her time on the trivia show.

The former Bravo star posted on her Instagram Stories on Oct. 18 — explicitly declaring that “Deal or No Deal” “never treated us like bimbos” and the girls “got so many opportunities because of that show.”

However, Jordan agreed that modeling on a TV show doesn’t have much to do with one’s intellect and someone’s beauty takes center stage.
