This weekend was sparkling, Aaron Rodgers will never let it go.
On Monday, the Jets’ new superstar quarterback reflected on a whirlwind few days at his “new home” of MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., where he took in Taylor Swift’s blockbuster Eras Tour.
“Incredible weekend at my new home #metlifestadium with some special friends Miles [Teller] and [his wife] @keleighteller, a bunch of new ones, and the legendary @taylorswift who absolutely rocked the house for 3 1/2 hours each night!!!” Rodgers exclaimed on Instagram.
Rodgers, who was filmed dancing to Swift’s hit songs during Saturday and Sunday’s shows, also expressed gratitude to the folks he encountered at MetLife.
“Thanks to the great security folks, the sweet fans that I met, and all the hospitality from the Tour both nights,” the 39-year-old quarterback wrote.
Rodgers concluded his message by encouraging fans to see the Jets in action this season.
“Hopefully we can make MetLife that loud this year 💪🏼💚 come check us out @nyjets,” Rodgers posted.
The four-time league MVP was traded to the Jets in April following 18 seasons with the Packers.
Since arriving in New York, Rodgers has continued to soak up all of the experiences his new home has to offer, including Knicks and Rangers playoff games at Madison Square Garden.
While Swift’s concert was considered a must-see for Rodgers, his bucket list also includes bringing a championship back to New York.
“I’m an old guy so I want to be part of a team that can win it all,” Rodgers said last month at his Jets introductory press conference. “I believe this is a place we can get that done.”
Despite the season — let alone the playoffs — being months away, Rodgers has already perfected his Super Bowl celebrations just in case.
The Jets last won the Super Bowl following the 1968 season.
