It’s supernatural — and super hard to rent out.
Beckie-Ann Galentine posted a now-viral TikTok on May 30, giving a tour of her space in all it’s eerie glory. In the minute-long clip, she pans over her coffee table — which is a used coffin — a stack of vintage Ouija boards, bags of hair, toe tags and hospital doors.
“Reasons my landlord can’t find anyone to rent my place,” she wrote on the clip, which has more than 1.4 million views.
According to Galentine, three people have come through to tour the Connecticut home — and all been slightly taken aback at how she’s decorated it.
However, she insists it’s not macabre — but more to do with her love of history.
“I do think it is shocking to people,” she told Insider. “But I want to reinforce the idea that this isn’t a morbid curiosity. It’s about the people and their stories.”
Her featured pieces include her entryway doors, which were once part of the Danvers State Hospital, an old psychiatric hospital in Massachusetts that closed in 1992, and a tombstone for a pastor.
Galentine explained the used coffin isn’t what it sounds like either, and was once a shipping coffin used to transport a body.
Although the tour of her eccentric décor may look alarming, Galentine — who used to work as an embalmer — insists she keeps it for a reason.
“Everything has a story,” Galentine explained. “To me, I feel like a custodian or a steward of the items instead of being a collector or owner.”
