Kate Middleton, 41, paid a sweet tribute to the late Princess Diana during King Charles’ 75th birthday celebrations, known as Trooping the Colour, on Saturday, June 17.
During the event, The Princess of Wales wore a pair of gorgeous sapphire and diamond drop-earrings that previously belonged to Diana, according to People.
She had previously worn the earrings during last year’s Trooping the Colour celebrations, debuting them for the first time in 2022.
Middleton paired the accessories with a bright green dress designed by Andrew Gn and a large, matching hat made by Philip Treacy.
Although the recently-crowned monarch won’t turn 75 until Nov. 14, the celebration is an age-old tradition hosted at the start of summer to take advantage of the beautiful weather.
Princess Diana, who is the mother to Middleton’s husband, Prince William, 40, passed away on August 31, 1997, after a car crash in Paris, France.
She was just 36 when she died.
In honor of the late Princess, Middleton has previously worn other pieces of her jewelry from her collection, including the Lover’s Knot Tiara, which she sported during Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan’s wedding earlier this month.
Diana had worn the tiara on multiple occasions, according to People.
Another piece of Diana’s that Middleton has been photographed wearing before is a simple, three-strand pearl bracelet that was designed by Nigel Milne in 1988, according to Town & Country.
Middleton’s engagement ring — a 12-carat blue sapphire sparkler — was also a piece that was once owned by Diana.
It was given to her by Prince William in 2010, after he proposed to her during a trip to Kenya.
And, in a rare comment this past April, Middleton spoke with fans during a walkabout in Aberfan, Wales, where she opened up about the engagement ring and the meaning behind it.
“It was exactly the same size,” Middleton was seen saying in footage uploaded to Instagram, The Post previously reported. “It is very special. What an honor to be able to wear it.”
She also added that she had “never met” Diana, who was also known as “the people’s princess,” but added that she believes that she would have made a “brilliant grandmother.”
Middleton even revealed that her husband’s mom is “missed every day.”
During this weekend’s birthday celebrations, King Charles rode horseback in the parade alongside his two siblings, sister Princess Anne and brother Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh.
Queen Camilla and Middleton rode in a horse-drawn carriage, along with her three children: Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte 8, and Prince Louis, 5.
