Rob Gronkowski believes the NFL is doing a bit too much when it comes to the ongoing Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift coverage.
The former Patriots star, 34, gave his two cents on the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s budding romance with the singer, saying the TV camera cuts to Swift in the stands a little too often during games.
“Bye-bye-bye, it’s just a little bit too much,” Gronk said on FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams” Wednesday.
“Yes, you can show her, maybe have her perform a song now since they’re hyping her up every single week but we want more football. Yes, it’s fine that you show her, but not every single play.”
Arguing that the game of football hasn’t changed since the “Lover” hitmaker began attending her new beau’s games, host Kay Adams noted that she’s boosting viewership for the NFL.
“Show the players, show the player celebrations,” Gronkowski responded, adding that constantly showing Swift during the broadcast takes away from the players.
Gronk himself weighed in on Kelce’s budding romance this week, saying he’s happy to see the tight end “doing his thing” and that he “deserves” all of his success both “on and off the field.”
“You know, it’s wonderful, he deserves it all,” Gronkowski told “Entertainment Tonight” Monday.
“He’s had seven 1,000-yard seasons in a row. Wide receivers barely have seven 1,000-yard seasons in a row. He deserves every commercial, and he’s a good-looking man, so he deserves any lady that he wants to get,” he continued, seemingly referencing the “Cruel Summer” singer.
Gronkowski’s comments come after the NFL defended its broadcasting of the singer earlier this month after some fans became frustrated with the volume of coverage.
In fact, Kelce himself said the NFL was “overdoing it a little bit.”
“We frequently change our bios and profile imagery based on what’s happening in and around our games, as well as culturally,” the league said in a statement to The Post.
“The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news has been a pop cultural moment we’ve leaned into in real-time, as it’s an intersection of sport and entertainment, and we’ve seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport.”
Earlier this week, Travis’ brother Jason Kelce raised concerns over his brother’s safety as his romance continues to reach new heights.
“On one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about [and] that he is genuine about. But there’s another end of it where it’s like, ‘Man, this is a lot,’” the Philadelphia Eagles center said, in part.
