Get ready to raise your W’s high in the air.
To ring in the 30th anniversary of Wu-Tang Clan’s seminal debut album “Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers),” RZA is putting on three back-to-back-to-back shows at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre where he’ll be accompanied by a live orchestra as he narrates the classic film that inspired the record.
This isn’t his first time bringing this show to the stage though.
“Over the years I’ve been blessed to adjust it and to have musical cues and scores that really express the emotions of the story,” the 54-year-old Hip-Hop icon told WestWord.
And yes, he’ll be joined by select Wu-Tang members.
While we don’t know who will be taking the stage with him, our team has confirmed that Young Dirty Bastard will be there.
He can’t wait, either.
“It’s like reconnectin’ with the essence, right where the Wu saga kicked off,” YDB told the New York Post.
“Being on that stage, it ain’t just about droppin’ beats, it’s about lettin’ the legacy breathe, lettin’ it echo through every corner of the room. Each beat, each verse, it’s a shoutout to the streets, to the struggle, keepin’ the Wutang narrative real and alive.”
As of now, tickets are available for all three gigs.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets was $87 before fees on Vivid Seats.
Other shows have seats starting anywhere from $95 to $105 before fees.

About the Gramercy Theatre concerts
At each of the three concerts, RZA will narrate and live score a shortened version of the 1978 kung-fu film “The 36th Chamber of Shaolin.”
Allegedly, RZA has seen the film over 300 times but has yet to tire of it.
“That film is a story that follows a young man, a college student in all reality, who’s learned ethics, but at the end of the day, the realities of life strike him,” he shared with WestWord.
“He’s under an oppressive government. He realizes that his own people are being oppressed; even though he’s a middle-class citizen, a lot of people are going through that hell, and the revolution is starting. Just like the students of Kent University, he wants to be involved with the revolution. And he does get involved, and eventually it leads to tragedy in his own household.”
