Keke Palmer has been granted temporary sole custody of her 8-month-old son with estranged boyfriend Darius Jackson after alleging that he repeatedly abused her during their relationship.
The 30-year-old actress filed a request on Thursday for a temporary restraining order as well as a request for a domestic violence restraining order and petitioned the court for legal and physical custody of her son, Leodis Andrellton Jackson.
The “Nope” star claims that the infant’s father has been “unhinged, volatile and dangerous to both me and our son,” according to court documents filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court and reviewed by USA Today.
In her filing, Palmer alleged that Jackson abused her as recently as this previous weekend and “multiple times over the past 2+ years.”
The “2 Minutes of Fame” star also described in writing a multitude of instances of physical and emotional abuse and provided graphic security camera video stills as evidence.
As a result of the emergency filing of the temporary restraining order, the Los Angeles County judge ruled that Jackson must stay at least 100 yards away from the “Hustlers” star and their son at all times.
In the filing, Palmer also alleges there were “many instances of physical violence, including striking and grabbing me around the neck, descriptions of Darius destroying my personal property, including diaries and prescription eyeglasses, throwing my belongings into the street, throwing my car keys to prevent me from driving away, hitting me in front of our son, spewing profanities about me to our son, threatening to kill himself with a gun if I left him, harassment, and other physical and emotional abuse.”
The Post has reached out to reps of Jackson and Palmer for comment.
Jackson, who works in the entertainment and fitness industries according to his fitness bio, most also stay 100 yards away from any childcare or schooling facilities visited by their son and he will not be allowed to any visitation with the infant.
A hearing set for Dec. 5 to determine further action on the temporary arrangement.
Palmer began dating Darius in 2021, with the couple welcoming son Leodis two years later in February 2023.
Palmer claimed that she and Jackson “finally ended for good” in early October “primarily due to the physical and emotional abuse inflicted on [her] by [him] throughout [their] relationship.”
“It is because of our son, Leo, that I was finally able to end my relationship with Darius once and for all and escape the abuse,” she wrote. “Leo is the most important thing in the entire world to me; he needs and deserves to be safe and grow up in an environment free from violence.”
She added, “Unfortunately, ending my relationship with Darius has not ended his abuse — if anything, he is even more unhinged, volatile and dangerous to both me and our son.”
Jackson seemingly addressed the ruling via a tweet on on X. “I love you, son,” he captioned a photo of himself holding Leo. “See you soon.”
