Fox’s lead NFL host Curt Menefee is going to pull a Michael Strahan and add a daily morning show by joining Fox 5’s “Good Day New York” as a co-host.
Menefee will remain the host of Fox NFL Sunday.
Menefee will relocate to New York, commuting to Los Angeles on weekends during the NFL season.
He will team up with Rosanna Scotto on “Good Day.”
“Morning television is something I’ve always wanted to do because of the variety,” Menefee, 58, told The Post.
During the NFL season, Menefee will work a Tuesday-to-Friday schedule and then do all five days in the offseason.
Bianca Peters, who was Scotto’s co-host, will move to Fox 5’s noon and 6 p.m. programs.
Scotto was one of the news anchors when Menefee was the sports anchor on Fox 5’s 10 p.m. news show in the mid-to-late 1990s.
In 2022, Menefee earned his Master’s degree in Public Policy & Administration from Northwestern.
“I’ve been a news nerd my whole life,” Menefee said.
Menefee picked Strahan’s brain about adding the second job.
Not only does Strahan, a longtime veteran of ABC’s “Good Morning America” and the Fox NFL team, know what it takes to do both, he also flies on a corporate jet that Menefee hopes to hop on.
“It is like one of those things when you see players and they always refer to the owner as ‘Mr.,’ ‘Mr. Jones,’” Menefee said with a chuckle.
“I’m going to call him Mr. Strahan from this point on so he knows my respect level so I get on that plane.”
