Chris Pratt did it again.
For the second year in a row, the actor, 44, was slammed on social media for posting a Mother’s Day tribute that didn’t include his ex-wife, Anna Faris, who is the mother of his 11-year-old son, Jack.
Pratt shared photos of his mom, Kathy Pratt, and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, with whom he shares daughters Lyla Maria, 3, and Eloise Christina, 1.
In his caption, Pratt wished a happy Mother’s Day “to all the mamas out there” and gave a lengthy shout-out to Schwarzenegger, 34.
“Love to my Mom Kathy who set a high bar for her love, patience, humor, and joy in motherhood. And a special thank you my darling Katherine for all you do. Witnessing you be a mom to Lyla and Eloise and a stepmom to Jack makes me fall more and more in love with you every day,” Pratt wrote.
“The 24/7 job of scheduling, transporting, loving, nurturing, managing calendars, planning activities, the nutrition, the boundaries, the rules, the patience, the gentleness, the firmness, the wisdom, and grace,” he continued. “It’s truly a marvel.”
The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star snubbing Faris, 47, in his post didn’t sit well with many fans.
“And Anna?” one fan wrote in the comments section.
Another user wrote, “wait a minute where is Anna Faris?”
“He should have posted the other MOTHER of his child,” somebody else said.
A different comment read, “It’s not weird to post the ex wife ?! Is she not the mother? The first mom to his child? It’s weird to not respect that.”
However, others came to Pratt’s defense in the comments section.
“This man does not have to shout out his EX wife on Mother’s Day. That is so weird,” one person wrote.
A different commenter added, “This man is married. He is not required to shout out his former wife in public. Perhaps he called or texted.”
“Does Anna wish Chris a Happy Father’s Day,” another fan asked, adding, “it would be disrespectful to Katherine if he praised Anna.”
Pratt and Faris were married from 2009 to 2017.
On Mother’s Day last year, Pratt similarly faced some backlash for not mentioning the “House Bunny” actress in his tribute, which celebrated his mom, his wife, and his mother-in-law, Maria Shriver.
Pratt was also in hot water with critics in November 2021 for his Instagram post where he thanked Schwarzenegger for bringing their “gorgeous and healthy daughter” into the world – which was interpreted as offensive since Pratt and Faris’ son experienced health issues after his premature birth.
The “Jurassic World” star addressed the controversy in an interview with Men’s Health in June 2022.
“That is f—ed up,” he said about the negative reactions to his post about Schwarzenegger and their oldest daughter. “My son’s gonna read that one day. He’s nine. And it’s etched in digital stone.”
“It really f—ing bothered me, dude,” he admitted. “I cried about it. I was like, I hate that these blessings in my life are—to the people close to me—a real burden.”
Faris never spoke out about the controversy, as she typically remains quiet about her relationship with her ex-husband.
But she did make an exception when she praised Pratt and Schwarzenegger in an interview with People in November 2022.
“We’re all getting much closer, and I so appreciate that,” the actress said, before giving Schwarzenegger props for being a great stepmom. “She’s just on top of it. I love how she is with Jack.”
