NFL legend Tom Brady is turning heads because of an embrace that might have lingered a moment too long.
Brady’s 13-year-old daughter, Vivian, appears to be a volleyball prodigy. And the Raiders minority owner took his daughter to a women’s college volleyball match between the No. 1-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers and the No. 2-ranked Texas Longhorns on Sunday.
Before the match, Nebraska star player Harper Murray came over to greet Brady and his daughter. She and Tom shared a hug, and several photos of the embrace have gone viral on social media, including one video that was posted on Tuesday evening and has over 3 million views.
There’s nothing to suggest the embrace was nothing more than a friendly gesture, especially because Brady is 49 years old and Murray is 21. But that hasn’t stopped social media from commenting on the hug between them.
Murray and the Cornhuskers went on to beat the Longhorns in straight sets, which means Nebraska hasn’t lost a set in five matches to start its season.
Murray earned first-team All-America honors as a junior last season and is a three-time All-Big Ten first-team honoree.
Nebraska’s Instagram account also posted several photos of the exchange between Murray and Brady.
Perhaps Murray’s squad will take inspiration from Brady and win a championship this season.
