AC/DC is back in black in the U.S.
In 2025, the high-octane Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are embarking on a North American stadium tour for the first time since 2016.
This 13-show run, which they’re calling the ‘Power Up Tour,’ is in support of their raucous 2020 album with the same name. The Pretty Reckless will serve as the special guest at all dates.
As of now, AC/DC hasn’t announced a New York or New Jersey date. Based on our findings, the closest Angus Young and co. will get to the tri-state area is Foxborough, MA’s Gillette Stadium on Sunday, May 4.
Other notable dates include Minneapolis (April 10), Las Vegas (April 26), Detroit (April 30), Pittsburgh (May 8) and Chicago (May 24).
Earlier this year, the “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” rockers took their ‘Power Trip Tour’ all over Europe and regularly played 20+ songs at each show. While we can’t predict what they’ll take to the stage on the upcoming U.S. and Canada run, they performed classics like “Thunderstruck,” “Highway to Hell,” “You Shook Me All Night Long,” “T.N.T.” and “For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)” and more at all overseas gigs.
Prior to the summer 2024 European run, the legendary group headlined at the 2023 Power Trip Festival alongside Metallica, Tool, Judas Priest, Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden.
Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming 2025 ‘Power Up Tour’ shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Friday, Dec. 6.
Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

AC/DC new music
Way back in November 2020, AC/DC dropped “POWER UP.”
Their 17th studio album — comprised of 12 raucous tracks — fits right in with the band’s earlier output.
For our money, this album’s guitar-heavy rockers like “Realize,” “Shot In The Dark” and “Wild Reputation” are on par with anthems like “Dirt Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” and “T.N.T.”
This is truly a “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” kind of record.
If you want to have your face melted off by the Aussie rockers once again, you can find “POWER UP” here.
AC/DC band members
According to the band’s statement on social media, here’s who you’ll see onstage — maybe even in their trademark schoolboy uniforms — should you catch them live in Europe.
Angus Young lead guitar, occasional backing vocals (1973–present)
Brian Johnson lead vocals (1980–2016, 2018–present)
Stevie Young rhythm guitar, backing vocals (2014–present; touring 1988)
Matt Laug drums (2023–present)
Chris Chaney bass guitar (2024–present)
The Pretty Reckless
At all shows, AC/DC will be joined by frontwoman Taylor Momsen’s band.
Formed in 2009, the hard rockin’ group is known for megahits like “Heaven Knows” and “Make Me Wanna Die.”
If you want to get down to their sound, you can find The Pretty Reckless’ complete discography here.
