“Vanderpump Rules” star Brittany Cartwright has filed for divorce from husband Jax Taylor, seeking to end their marriage after five years.

The reality TV personality, 35, submitted her divorce petition on Tuesday, August 27, according to court documents obtained by The Post.

Cartwright asked the court for legal and physical custody of the couple’s three-year-old son, Cruz, stating that she is open to Taylor having visitation rights.

The “Valley” star cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce and listed the couple’s date of separation as January 24. She requested that neither she nor Taylor be granted spousal support.

Cartwright and Taylor announced their separation in February.

“Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year,” Cartwright said on her and Taylor’s podcast, “When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany,” on February 29.

“Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she added.

Cartwright’s decision comes on the heels of Taylor seeking treatment at an inpatient facility for help with his mental health struggles.

“Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast,” Taylor’s rep said in a statement to The Post on July 30.

“He has made the decision to seek inpatient treatment,” Taylor’s rep added. “This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on this matter.”

Taylor reportedly left treatment last week and returned to filming Season 2 of “The Valley,” which has documented many of his and Cartwright’s marriage woes.

Cartwright and Taylor’s rep said, “No comment,” in response to being contacted by The Post about the divorce.

Back in April, Taylor shared that he was working on himself in hopes of winning Cartwright back.

“We’re just trying to figure things out,” he told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “I’ve given you real-time, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I am definitely working on myself right now.”

“The separation has definitely been good for me, but I do miss her,” he added. “I miss her a lot. So, I don’t know, we’ll see if she’ll take me back.”

The pair started dating in 2015 and got engaged in June 2018. Taylor and Cartwright married in June 2019 in a fairytale-themed ceremony at Kentucky Castle in Versailles, Kentucky.
