Brittany Mahomes sent a message to Chiefs critics Sunday as the reigning champions advanced to Super Bowl 2024.
In a post shared on her Instagram Stories, Brittany — the wife of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes — penned, “We went there. We won. Anyone have anything else to say? See yall in Vegas,” following Kansas City’s AFC Championship victory over the Ravens in Baltimore.
The Chiefs entered Sunday’s championship contest as underdogs before Mahomes and company took care of business on the road with a 17-10 win.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had a monster outing, scoring the first touchdown of the game and reeling in 11 catches for 116 yards in front of girlfriend Taylor Swift, who watched from a suite at M&T Bank Stadium
He later eclipsed Jerry Rice’s postseason receptions record by tallying his 152nd catch.
“Shoutout to Jerry Rice, baby,” the 34-year-old Kelce said during his postgame celebration, which included an on-field kiss with Swift, also 34.
“The Chiefs are still the Chiefs.”
The Chiefs, who defeated the Eagles in last year’s Super Bowl, will now face the 49ers in Las Vegas on Feb. 11 following San Francisco’s 34-31 victory over the Lions in Sunday’s NFC Championship game.
With Chiefs Kingdom officially Vegas-bound, Brittany is celebrating Mahomes’ fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years.
“Proud,” she gushed on Instagram following the game, in which Mahomes threw for 241 yards and one touchdown.
High school sweethearts, Mahomes married Brittany in a dreamy destination wedding in Hawaii in March 2022.
The couple had two children: daughter Sterling, 2, and son Bronze, 1.
