Carlos Alcaraz debuts new look in Shanghai amid breakup rumors

Spanish tennis superstar Carlos Alcaraz produced an impressive Round of 64 victory against Juan Manual Cerundolo at the Shanghai Masters on Saturday.

But Alcaraz’s performance on the court isn’t what people are talking about. Instead, it’s the eye-catching new mustache he sported in the match against Cerundolo,

Alcaraz, 23, posted about his victory to his Instagram shortly afterward, captioning the post, “👋🏻 SHANGHAI! 👨🏻.”

Many big names in tennis have commented on the post, which featured several photos of his stylish new ‘stache.

Some might have expected to see Claudia Canals comment.

Alcaraz and the Spanish entrepreneur and digital marketing professional were spotted on a boat along the coastline of Italy over the summer, which convinced many that the two were a couple.

However, Canals didn’t comment or like Alcaraz’s recent post.

In fact, she might not have even seen it, as the two have since unfollowed each other on Instagram.

To be fair, neither Alcaraz nor Canals spoke publicly or otherwise confirmed they were in a relationship after being seen together. That might have been their first and only date, or their fling might have been short-lived.

Regardless, it’s clear that the two are no longer together. And perhaps Alcaraz decided to start this new chapter with a new look, hence the fresh mustache.
