Showbiz runs in the family.
Clint Eastwood’s daughter Kimber Lynn Eastwood has worked as a makeup artist on film and TV shows for 20 years — including on “Wheel of Fortune.”
In an interview with Fox News Digital published Wednesday, Kimber, 60, revealed what she thinks about Ryan Seacrest taking over hosting duties after Pat Sajak retired. She also opened up about Clint, 94, as a grandfather.
“My grandmother was very traditional from Scranton, Pennsylvania,” Kimber, who has worked on “Wheel of Fortune” since 2005, told the outlet.
“We watched ‘Wheel of Fortune’ and ‘Jeopardy!’ every night together with my mom and my aunts,” she said. “[My dad] knows that I’ve been on the show, and when we talk, and I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m going to ‘Wheel’ this week.’ He’s been very supportive of my career.”
Kimber was the only child of Clint and the late Roxanne Tunis, an actress best known for the 1986 film “Blue City.”
Kimber has been married three times, most recently to producer Shawn Midkiff, whom she tied the knot with in 2014. She has one adult son, Clinton.
“[My dad] is great with all the grandkids,” Kimber said. “He’s older, he’s more settled in his life. He loves being a grandpa. He loves all of us.”
Kimber said that she originally started in Hollywood wanting to be an actress.
“I studied acting for years and years and years. I was a single mom, so I raised my son, and I waitressed at night and auditioned in the daytime,” she said.
“I was working at Marmalade Cafe in Westlake, [California,] and I waited on my [current] boss. I told him I was in makeup school, and I had been an actress and who I was and my dad and all that. And so he said, ‘Why don’t you come down to ‘Wheel’ and just check it out and just see what we do down there?’ And I did.”
Kimber, who did makeup for Sajak and co-host Vanna White, said, “I just love doing [makeup for] the contestants. They are just so happy and appreciative and just so happy to be there, you know, and excited. And the energy is just really, just really fun.”
She described Sajak and White as “the kindest and most humble people that you could ever wish to work for.”
Sajak’s last episode aired in June, and Seacrest debuted on Monday.
“Ryan stepped into the role like he’d been doing it 100 years,” Kimber said.
“I mean, he is so professional. I mean, we’re used to seeing Pat for 40 years, but Ryan’s great, too. I like them both equally, and I think they’re both very talented, on the sly, witty, sharp men.”
She added: “Ryan was the best pick for the job. I couldn’t think of a better person to take over for Pat.”
Eastwood has eight children with six different women: daughters Laurie, 69, Kimber, 60, Alison, 52, Kathryn, 36, Francesca, 31, and Morgan, 27, and sons Kyle, 56, and Scott, 38.
Eastwood was married twice: to model Maggie Johnson from 1953 to 1984 and to news anchor Dina Ruiz from 1996 to 2014.
Most recently, he was with Christina Sandera, his partner of a decade, who tragically died of a heart attack at age 61 in July.
At the time, Eastwood said, “I will miss her very much.”
Eastwood’s kids treated Sandera as part of the family.
His daughter Morgan paid tribute to her father’s longtime love after her death by sharing a photo of herself and her husband, Tanner Koopmans, with Eastwood and Sandera at Morgan’s wedding.
“A devastating loss for our whole family,” Morgan wrote. “Thank you Christina for being a good partner to my Dad ❤️ you will be greatly missed.”
About Sandera’s death, Kimber said, “We were all in shock, and it was all kind of a struggle in the beginning, but I think now the shock value is wearing off. When somebody passes away that’s so close to you, you just, there’s just kind of a different vibe. You just learn to live with it.”
As the family deals with the loss, she said she’ll live by her dad’s words, “Just be yourself.”
