It seems Dak Prescott has a new lady in his life.
The Cowboys quarterback is casually dating LSU swimmer Jadyn Jannasch, Page Six exclusively reported Thursday, with a source telling the outlet how the duo was “active” around the holidays.
Jannasch is said to have taken a few of her Tigers teammates to “a couple of games over the season” to see Prescott, whose breakup with longtime girlfriend Natalie Buffett was revealed following the team’s Divisional Round loss to the 49ers over the weekend.
“She has been telling teammates it’s a rebound relationship for him, and it’s still going on,” an insider said of Jannasch, a college junior who is majoring in mass communication.
“But given that she’s in school and he’s in Texas, it’s not an everyday thing.”
Prescott, 29, was previously in a two-year relationship with Buffett before the pair quietly called it quits around March 2022. Buffett supported the quarterback at Cowboys games over the course of their relationship.
Though the Cowboys had high hopes for the playoffs this year after finishing the regular season at 12-5, Dallas fell short of an NFC Championship berth once again following their 19-12 defeat to San Francisco on Sunday.
Prescott, who threw two interceptions in the game, shouldered the blame afterward.
“Guys that played their asses off. Defense, who gave us an opportunity to win this game, who played hard against a really, really good offense, a really good team. And for us to only put up the points that we did, that’s unacceptable, and it starts with me. I’ve got to be better. No other way to sugarcoat it,” he said, according to NFL.com.
In the wake of the loss, Prescott found himself at the center of social media controversies, one of which involved the Cowboys’ own Twitter account that posted: “Dak Prescott gave away the ball twice in the narrow loss to the 49ers, in a matchup the Cowboys had a chance to win if they didn’t again generate self-inflicted wounds.”
The message caught much of the Twitterverse off guard, with Pat McAfee — among the many — stating, “It be your own people sometime @dak DAMN.”
Prescott’s teammate, linebacker Micah Parsons, also raised eyebrows Wednesday with a curious tweet in response to a video of Bills GM Brandon Beane discussing roster building.
“Besides (patrick) mahomes, every team in the final 4 Qb is on a rookie deal and surrounded by talent! Mhmm interesting take!” Parsons wrote.
Amid speculation the message could be about Prescott, who is in the middle of his four-year contract extension with the Cowboys, Parsons responded: “Listen we not gonna sit here like I’m talking about Dak… when I get paid ima want a big contract too ! Come on stop reaching !”
