Get ready for some ruff competition.
A new board game has been released that allows the family pooch to participate — and dog lovers couldn’t be more thrilled.
“The Dog’s Best Friend Game, newly released by West Paw, has become the talk of social media after a dog owner posted a video their white Coton de Tulear and Poodle mix pooch, Vegas, getting ready to play the board game.
The 53-second TikTok clip has snagged over 1.2 million views.
“The game is called #thedogsbestfriendgame and it is such a fun and neat way to bond with your dog, while also getting playtime and training in!” the viral caption read.
The box, which can be purchased for $30, comes with challenge cards, training tip cards, plastic cups, a non-slip playing mat, plush dog toys, a sand timer and a rules sheet.
In the clip, she demonstrates how one card challenge called “The Smell Game” is played with her dog, who appears to be very engaged.
“Place 3 cups upside down. Show your dog a treat and hide it under 1 cup. The other team shuffles the cups around 5 times. Every time your dog touches a cup is 1 guess,” the card instructions read.
Vegas appeared to be focused during the activity, sniffing around to find the treat, which he was able to do on his second guess.
The game is also considered a training toy offering tips for positive reinforcement and methods built into the mini-games.
“Breaks are built in, but feel free to take more as needed. If a card isn’t a tail thumper, just pass — there’s another fun challenge for you and your furbaby underneath,” the game details continue.
The dog-friendly activity, can take up to 25 minutes to play, allows three humans and two dogs of any breed to participate.
The game pulled on the heartstrings of many dog lovers online.
“Omg this is so adorable, more board games for our pups,” agreed another.
“Automatic purchase,” confessed one shopper.
“Why am I gonna cry?” admitted a woman. “It’s 10 am and I’m hysterical over this.”
“I love how it says how many humans and dogs can play,” commented a TikToker.
“My dog would take the toys and run,” chuckled one watcher.
