The bar and restaurant in Nashville where country music star Morgan Wallen was arrested for allegedly tossing a chair off of its sixth-floor rooftop has changed its marquee — referencing the incident in a playful manner.
“OUR PIGS FLY OUR CHAIRS DON’T,” the marquee read as of Tuesday.
Wallen, 30, was arrested in Nashville on Sunday for allegedly tossing a chair off the rooftop restaurant Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ, located on the top floor of Chief’s on Broadway, which is owned by fellow country singer Eric Church.
The Chief’s on Broadway official Instagram account shared a photo of the sign.
“See you at Chief’s,” the photos were captioned.
Singer/songwriter Kyle Elliott responded to the Instagram post with a comment of his own, referencing the lyrics of Church’s 2009 hit song “Smoke a Little Smoke.”
“Turned the quiet up and threw a chair down,” he wrote.
Wallen was arrested on felony charges just after 10:45 p.m. on Sunday.
The seat allegedly landed just three feet away from Metropolitan Nashville Police officers on the ground, the police department said.
Wallen (“Wasted on You”) was booked into Davidson County jail just after 12:30 a.m. Monday on three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct.
He posted a $15,250 bond and was released at around 3:30 a.m. Monday.
Chief’s is a new establishment, having opened for business Friday, April 5. It’s located on Broadway in Nashville and features “different floors for different experiences,” according to People.
Church, 46, opened his new venue with a special performance; he’s currently playing a 19-date residency at its Neon Steeple live performance space.
