Former NFL Pro Bowler and sports broadcaster Marcellus Wiley was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Florida on Saturday and charged with domestic battery, according to court records viewed by The Post.
The 51-year-old Wiley, whose career as a sports broadcaster has included stints at ESPN and Fox Sports and as a podcast host, was being held without bond.
Additional details related to the arrest weren’t available.
Wiley was recently accused of sexual assault by four women, according to a story published by Rolling Stone in May, and he was also previously sued by three individuals for allegedly raping them while at Columbia.
Wiley, married to “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Annemarie Wiley, denied the allegations from the recent filings in an episode of his self-titled podcast, claimed he had evidence to prove “alleged misrepresentations” and previously called the other three allegations while at Columbia “B.S.”
In the April filings and allegations, two of the women said that Wiley sexually assaulted them between 1995 and 1999, according to Rolling Stone.
Another woman alleged that Wiley groomed her from when she was 13 years old — while Wiley played for the Bills — following a visit to her middle school and raped her when she turned 18, when Wiley, then a member of the Cowboys, flew her to Dallas, according to Rolling Stone.
“Marcellus Wiley raped me on my 18th birthday, after grooming me from the age of 13,” the victim wrote, while alleging that Wiley brought her to his home to clean his CD collection and referred to her as his “little momma.” “If Columbia had properly pursued the complaints… I would never have been groomed and raped.”
A fourth woman, who was a former production assistant at ESPN, alleged that Wiley deceived her about coming to his hotel room for a work meeting in 2009 and sexually assaulted her.
“The assault was devastating to me,” the fourth woman wrote in a court filing, according to Rolling Stone, “and I will live with the effects to this day.”
The Bills drafted Wiley in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft, and he spent four years in Buffalo before also playing for the Chargers, Cowboys and Jaguars.
He made the lone Pro Bowl of his career in 2001 while in San Diego, and after shifting into broadcasting, Wiley worked at ESPN until 2018 and Fox Sports until 2022.
