Exclusive | Olivia Culpo’s sister reveals family’s secret wish for impending baby with Christian McCaffrey

Olivia Culpo’s family is secretly hoping the bun in her oven is a boy.

During an exclusive interview with the California Post on Monday, Culpo’s younger sister, Sophia, revealed that “across the board” she and her relatives are wishing for Culpo and her San Francisco 49ers star husband Christian McCaffrey to welcome a son into the world in the next few weeks.

“I have five nieces and one nephew,” Sophia said. “And my nephew is the oldest. So we haven’t had a boy in eight years. So we are like — we’ll be happy no matter what. But it would be really sweet to get a boy.”

Culpo and McCaffrey, the parents of a 1-year-old daughter, announced in May they were having their second child. However, neither knows the gender, with the couple opting for a birthday surprise instead.

It’s not exactly clear when Culpo is due, though it certainly seems close, as she announced on her TikTok page last week that she already has her hospital go-bag packed.

And Sophia said on Monday she simply “cannot wait” to be an aunt to another McCaffrey baby.

“We’re all just waiting to meet this baby,” she said, “whether it’s a girl or a boy.”

Sophia said she’s noticed a fairly significant change in Olivia from this pregnancy to her first, explaining her older sister has been “so much more confident” this go-around.

“She knows what to expect,” said the 29-year-old model and influencer, who recently starred in a SVEDKA ad campaign. “She trusts herself. She trusts her instincts. And also she’s chasing a toddler. So there’s that.”

Culpo isn’t the only one in her family expecting; Sophia said their brother and his partner are also awaiting the arrival of a new bundle of joy as well.

As for if kids are on her own horizon, Sophia — who just recently hard-launched her new relationship — said she can see it, but she’s “not in a rush, for sure.”

“I think having so many nieces and nephews, I’m excited for it,” she said. “But I’m also, I can wait a little.”
