This really happened.

Former NFL wideout Cole Beasley went back and forth with multiple people on X — including his former Bills teammate, free agent receiver Kenny Stills — about men wearing nail polish.

“What’s up with all these dudes painting their nails nowadays?” Beasley wrote in a recent post. “That ain’t it….”

Former ESPN anchor, Sage Steele, seemingly agreed and replied to Beasley’s post with a hands raised emoji.

“Some are saying I’m out of touch with the times we are in,” Beasley wrote in a separate post directed at a fan who called him “pathetic.”

“Y’all want me to change…respectfully, no. Hit the block button or unfollow me dude. It’s that easy.”

Before that, Beasley went back and forth with Stills, a wideout who last played for the Saints in 2021.

Stills played one game for the Bills in 2020 when Beasley was still on the team.

“It’s color on nails,” Stills wrote. “That’s like someone asking what’s up with all these dudes getting tattoos. Self expression.”

Beasley disagreed.

“Tattoos tell a story based on the image you get,” he wrote back to Stills. “Painted nails have no image. What exactly are you expressing? Cause I can only think of one thing. Lol.”

Taking to his X account, Stills posted a video Thursday from Burning Man festival sporting painted nails.

“I really had no clue men painting their nails stirred people up,” he wrote. “Gotta paint mine more often.”

Stills added, “obviously feeling super emasculated.”

Former NFL wideout Dez Bryant also weighed in, writing, “Bruh” in a separate post.

“Dez don’t tell me you’re out here painting your nails now,” Beasley replied. “Lol we can still be friends but I’m def gonna give you s–t about it. Haha.”

Free-agent cornerback Chris Harris Jr., who won a Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos in 2016, defended Beasley, telling one X user that he “didn’t say anything wrong Man up lol.”

In another post, Harris Jr. told Beasley, “They Retired the Alpha Males.”

Beasley, who was on the Giants practice squad for part of this season, stood by his comments.

In a response to one X user that said his post was “a bad and cancel-able take,” Beasley wrote, “Cancel me.”

In another post, he wrote, “I didn’t say they were gay. The one thing was woman.”
