Haley Joel Osment was arrested for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance at a California ski resort earlier this month, according to a new report.
The “Sixth Sense” actor, 37, was taken into custody by police in Mammoth Lakes, Calif. on Apr. 8 after they received a call shortly before 2 p.m. for an allegedly intoxicated person at Mammoth Mountain resort, TMZ reported on Wednesday.
Cops arrived to find Osment with ski patrol from the resort, per the outlet. They booked him for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance. Police reportedly could not identify the substance and sent it to a lab for testing.
Osment was released shortly after his arrest. The decision on whether to prosecute the case now lies with the Mono County, Calif. DA.
The “Blink Twice” actor has “been going through it recently,” according to TMZ’s sources, who noted he lost “everything” in the Altadena wildfire and has had difficulty with his insurance.
