Hamptons sticker shock: Quickie helicopter day trip — for almost $6K

Is avoiding Hamptons traffic worth spending thousands?

An upscale hotel has put together a package that will helicopter guests out to East Hampton before choppering them back to the Big Apple “just in time to experience Manhattan’s nightlife.”

The James, a swanky NoMad stay, offers this non-refundable getaway with a two-night minimum.

An advertised Jimmy suite for the package runs a total $5,700, but is subject to change.

Savvy travelers who chose the James will also earn rewards like a Starbucks gift card or complimentary WiFi when booking directly.

Since launching on June 21, the getaway package hasn’t yet had “any direct bookings,” but there have been “multiple inquires” about it, a hotel rep told The Post.

The Hamptons Day Trip package — which must be reserved at least two weeks ahead of time — kicks off with a “relaxing night’s sleep” (for those not having nightmares from the price tag) followed by a charming breakfast inside the hotel’s Scarpetta’s café.

Then, it’s off to a helipad to a board a BLADE chopper bound for East Hampton — a region where $29 guacamole runs amok. From there, a private car will pick up guests, chauffeur them into town and then to a beach area “hand picked” by Hamptons Picnic Co. “to ensure best experience for guests during their visit.”

That’s good to know considering the recent news that half of New York’s beaches are poop infested.

Travelers will then indulge in “a locally curated three course picnic lunch” that’s waiting for them beneath a parasol. The meal comes from Harbor Market & Kitchen in Sag Harbor.

Famished beachgoers pick a salad to start, followed by either a lobster roll, turkey or caprese sandwich in addition to falafel or an organic quinoa salad. Dessert is either the cake of the day or a brownie made from ground sesame seeds called tahini.

Guests who spend the small fortune may also “take home and experience” two bottles of rosé from the Wölffer Estate vineyard in nearby Sagaponack. Their most expensive single bottle of rosé retails online for $65.

Before the sun goes down, you’ll be back on your way to Manhattan after “a lavish beach day perfect for you and your guest.”
