She went from analyzing samples to selling them.
A UK woman likely had online entrepreneurs drooling after revealing how she left medical school because she was earning thousands of dollars a week by selling her own spittle.
The saliva seller recently detailed her expectorate-filled hustle in a TikTok video with over 541,000 views on TikTok.
“It all started as a fluke, and now I’ve been doing it for four years,” Latiesha Jones told Caters while spilling on how she turned spit into gold.
Now, at just 22 years old she’s been able to pay off an $11,000 debt and quit her job at Tesco simply through hawking her saliva, and other bodily effects.
The Manchester native’s saga began after she started studying “biomedical science” to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.
Unfortunately, the Brit didn’t have any money, so she started working every single hour she could at Tesco so she could stay financially Jones afloat.
After realizing her grocery gig wasn’t enough to pay the bills, she decided to do a side hustle 180 and”started doing OnlyFans.”
Lo and behold, the skin flick star started receiving strange requests from kinksters, who wanted everything from her used shower water to, well, her spit — which initially threw her for a loop.
“When I first got asked for a bottle of my spit, I thought it was a joke at first and that it couldn’t be serious until I realized it was,” described Jones. “I agreed and asked for £300 ($372). That was the highest number I could think of. He then asked for my bank details and paid it. I couldn’t believe how easy it was.”
From there, Jones’ success began to snowball until she was selling her “spit takes” several times a week for hundreds of dollars a bottle.
“I gauge it by each customer — if I know they will pay a lot, I will charge more,” the drool monger explained. “I do negotiate to some extent, but I don’t sell for less than £200 ($248).
She added, “The most I have made from spit is £1,500 (1,864 — I knew the guy had money, and he was happy to pay it.”
Jones’ spit isn’t the only aspect of her that’s in high demand.
The social media star says she’s received requests for everything from used bedsheets to sweaty gym clothes and soiled toothbrushes, which along with her loogi-hawking enterprise, net her a cool £3-5K ($3,728-$6,223.25) per week.
Jones was soon making so much money that she dropped out of medical school during her second year, and also ditched her grocery gig.
“It didn’t make sense to work at Tesco or go to university anymore as the demand was so high,” the drool-y-rich girl exclaimed. “I was making more money than I had ever seen in my life.”
She further supplemented her income via OnlyFans and by working as a webcam girl.
Jones’ said her newfound financial freedom particularly empowering as she didn’t have any money growing up. “I never knew what it felt like to go out and buy whatever I wanted,” the spit merchant gushed.
Not to mention that selling her own spit reportedly allowed Jones to provide for her family in ways she’d never dreamed of.
Along with paying off her own $11,000 debt, she was able to cover her mom’s debt and buy a horse for her sister, while she currently looking to buy herself a second home as well.
And while her vocation might sound bizarre — perhaps even downright gag-worthy — she claims “everyone around me is really supportive.”
“Everyone laughs about it,” Jones declared. “The only person I don’t speak to now because of my job is my mum. I’ve never had a good relationship with her anyway.”
She added, “However, my boyfriend is really supportive and my twin sister loves it too.”
Jones summed up the whirlwind experience like this: “I never thought this would be my career, but I’m happy that it is. I love it.”
Jones isn’t the first person to go from rags to riches by selling parts of herself online.
Former exotic dancer Rebekka Blue reportedly became a millionaire after hawking everything from her toe-nails to a used intrauterine device.
